Complete electrical systems. Bench-tested. Installed in a day.
Every Rayne power board is built, wired, and tested in our workshop before it reaches you. Plug in, connect your cables, and your electrical system works — first time.
"Best company in the whole of the UK for campervan electrics. Had 2 vans kitted out with them and can't be beat for pricing and customer service — loyal customer for life."
"I was first recommended to Rayne by a campervan conversion company who said: 'We just use Rayne Automotive — it's so much simpler.' I'm sitting in my camper two years later — ZERO issues. It has all just worked without me having to think about it ever."
"I am an expert handyman and thought I could wrap my head around van conversion electrics — but I realised it would have been a better idea to pay for a professional. What they delivered is a clear, high quality system, clearly labelled. Should I need any help, I know they'll be one phone call away. Can you put a price on that?"
Building your own electrical system means designing it, sourcing every component, wiring it safely, sequencing your isolation switches and busbars correctly, and making sure your chargers are mounted on surfaces rated for their heat output. Get any of it wrong and you have a system that at best underperforms, at worst doesn't work.
A Rayne power board removes all of that uncertainty. Every board leaves our workshop fully wired, correctly sequenced, and bench-tested. You connect your cables. Everything works.
All components wired and integrated. No sourcing, no sequencing errors. One unit, one installation.
Every board is bench-tested in our workshop before dispatch. If it does not pass our checks, it does not leave. You get a system we have already verified.
A Rayne power board installs in approximately one hour. On a straightforward conversion, a complete electrical system can be installed and tested in a single day.
We sell individual components too — and we want every build to go well, regardless of which route you take. These are the two most common mistakes we see in systems brought to us for diagnosis.
This is a subtle but important one. Victron chargers and DC-DC units generate significant heat through their heat syncs. Many van surfaces — some plastic panels, standard unfaced ply — are not rated for sustained contact with that level of heat. Always check your mounting surface specification, or use a dedicated thermal mounting board.
The order in which isolation switches and busbars are connected matters — both for safe operation and correct system function. It is one of the most common wiring errors in systems people bring to us for diagnosis.
✓ On a Rayne board, both are handled correctly as standard.
The HD Builder is our flagship — designed for builds that demand serious charging performance.
By combining the Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger with a larger solar MPPT controller on two modular integrated boards, the HD Builder achieves charge rates of up to 100A into a quality lithium battery.
To reach that 100A combined charge rate, you will need approximately 800W of solar panels and the 50A PV board specification. Our System Builder will calculate the exact configuration for your setup — we have quite a range to make sure we have the perfect combination for every build, and we know they're as different and unique as you are.
Who it's for: Full-time van lifers, larger builds, or anyone who wants maximum charging capacity and the confidence that comes from a fully Victron-based system.

The boards themselves install in approximately one hour. Cable routing depends on your van layout, but most straightforward conversions can have a complete system installed and tested in a single day.
The 12V side of the system can be installed by a competent DIYer following our instructions. The 240V mains connection should always be carried out by a qualified electrician or inspected before use. We would always recommend an electrician checks the 12V just in case — a second pair of eyes is always a good idea.
The Lite is a clean AGM battery option with a low voltage disconnect — ideal for smaller systems where an AGM battery is the right choice. The Monitor adds Victron battery monitoring so you always know your state of charge, even if your battery does not have Bluetooth. The Builder sits in the middle of the larger systems — no low voltage cutout, no battery protect — and can hold all three battery-to-battery chargers up to a Victron Orion XS. The HD Builder combines all of this with higher-rated components for maximum charge performance, achieving up to 100A combined with the right solar setup.
Yes — with the HD Builder board, approximately 800W of solar panels, and the 50A PV board specification. Use the System Builder to calculate whether this is right for your usage and build.
The board itself carries a 1-year warranty. The Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger carries Victron's own 5-year warranty, giving you long-term confidence in the most critical component.
