Weekend Explorer — Power Board (2B)

✓ 30A DC-DC Charging✓ 190W Rigid or 150W Flexible Solar✓ Mains Hook-Up Ready✓ 105Ah Lithium Included✓ Pre-Wired & Tested
The complete weekend system in one purchase — 30A power board, solar kit with your choice of 190W rigid or 150W flexible panel, mains hook up and a 105Ah lithium battery, matched and tested before dispatch

One purchase and the whole electrical system of your camper is sorted — split charge, solar, mains hook up and charging, and the battery to hold your energy in. The aim here is to cover all of your fusing, switching, wiring, battery and charging for the complete electrical system. Every part is specified to work together, so there's no compatibility guesswork and no piecing together suppliers. It arrives, you install it, it works. The heart of the system is our 12V Power Board in its 30A variant — the Orion Tr-Smart DCDC charger, fusing, and connections arrive pre-wired and tested on a CNC-machined phenolic plywood panel. 30A is the sweet spot of the range: fast recovery on the drive for lithium, without over-spec'ing a weekend van. Your installation is connecting cables, not building an electrical system. Charging comes from three directions: a 30A Victron charger feeds the battery whilst you drive, solar keeps it topped up when parked — 190W rigid for best yield, 150W flexible for a low profile, and the 7A mains board charges when you hook up. The included Fogstar Drift 105Ah lithium battery shows its charge state live in the app.

  • 12V Power Board (30A) — pre-wired, pre-fused, pre-programmed and tested, with van layout loom and battery cables included
  • Solar + Power Board Kit — your choice of 190W rigid or 150W semi-flexible panel, with SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT controller pre-programmed and Isolator switch mounted on its own power board
  • Mains 240V Power Board (7A) — hook-up charging and 240V distribution, pre-wired via Powercon plugs and tested
  • Interconnects between power boards are done via Heavy Duty Anderson connectors
  • Fogstar Drift 105Ah lithium battery — 1,344Wh with Bluetooth monitoring built in
  • Works with smart alternators (Euro 6/stop-start) and standard alternators
  • UK-assembled boards with 1-year Rayne Automotive warranty

☀️ Solar Yield — Real UK Estimates

190W rigid panel — Summer

454Wh

approx. 35Ah per day

190W rigid panel — Winter

141Wh

approx. 11Ah per day

150W flexible panel — Summer

359Wh

approx. 28Ah per day

150W flexible panel — Winter

111Wh

approx. 9Ah per day

Real UK seasonal estimates from our power calculator's solar model — 2.39 effective sun-hours/day in summer, 0.74 in winter. Yields shown per full day.

🔋 Estimated Runtime

Based on the System Builder’s appliance power and daily-use settings, with a 105Ah × 12.8V = 1344Wh lithium battery. Each tile shows one load on its own, with no solar or alternator charging; no reserve or losses are deducted. Real mixed-use runtime will be shorter.

Compressor Fridge (48L)

~4.2 days

40W × 8h/day = 320Wh/day

LED Down Lights x 4

~33.6 days

8W × 5h/day = 40Wh/day

Phone/Tablet Chargers

~33.6 days

20W × 2h/day = 40Wh/day

12V TV (24 inch)

~14.9 days

30W × 3h/day = 90Wh/day

Diesel Heater

~19.1 days

8.8W × 8h/day = 70.4Wh/day

Charger, battery, solar, mains — sized for each other and supplied together. One matched system, one warranty point, one place to go if you ever need help.

0230A Recovery That Fits a Weekend Van

Lithium takes charge fast — 30A on the drive refills the 105Ah battery from half in under two hours, and the board is never working hard. The sweet spot of the range for weekend use.

03Pre-Wired and Tested Boards

Both power boards are assembled, wired, and bench-tested here in the UK before dispatch. Your install is cable routing and connections.

04Know What's Going On

Bluetooth monitoring built into the DC-DC charger, MPPT, mains charger and the battery — open VictronConnect or the Fogstar app and see exactly what's charging and what's left.

❓ FAQ

Which layout should I choose?

We offer 10 layouts covering the common camper conversions — Small Van A-D and Large Van 1-6. Each one determines the loom lengths and the battery cable run, drawn to order. If your layout isn't listed, call or email us before ordering and we'll spec a custom one.

I'm not sure which system level I need.

Try our online System Builder at systembuilder.rayneautomotive.co.uk — it sizes a system to how you use your van. The Weekend Explorer covers weekend-to-weekend use with fridge, lights, fan, and charging; if you want 240V power or longer off-grid stretches, look at the Off-Grid Adventure or Full Off-Grid systems. What's the difference between the Power Board and Install Kit versions?

Same electrical spec, different format. The Power Board version arrives as pre-wired, tested panels — the fastest, tidiest install. The install kit features pre-cut, professionally crimped cables for the split charge and fuse box — a self-mounted, connected install up to the fuse box. From the fuse box onward you self-wire unless you add the van layout wiring loom — more freedom, slightly less precision.

Why 190W rigid solar?

A compressor fridge plus lights and charging is roughly what a 190W panel covers across a UK summer. Rigid panels are the durable choice for a permanent roof mount — tempered glass and an aluminium frame with a 25-year performance warranty.

Should I choose the rigid or the flexible panel?

The 190W rigid panel gives the best yield for the money and suits a flat roof section. The 150W flexible panel sits low-profile for curved or weight-sensitive roofs. Both feed the same SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT controller on the solar power board.
