About this product

Maximum Power · Full Off-Grid Living · Inverter + Charger
✓ 2400W Continuous✓ 120A Charger✓ Pure Sine Wave✓ Auto Changeover✓ Pre-Programmed In House
Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000Va with DC leads, isolator and mains wiring kit — 2400W of pure sine wave power plus 120A shore charging

Gives your campervan serious 240V power and shore-power charging in one unit. The MultiPlus-II 3000Va delivers 2400W of continuous pure sine wave — it runs almost anything you'd plug in at home, including induction hobs and full-size microwaves on medium. When you plug into hook-up, it switches roles and charges your battery at 120A.

The changeover is seamless. Shore power present: it charges your battery and passes mains through to your sockets. Shore power gone: it inverts from your battery to the same sockets. Automatic, instant, and silent — you never think about which source you're on.

The kit includes the DC battery leads and isolator, plus the mains wiring kit with the IP67 inlet and pre-wired consumer unit. Matched, specified, and ready to install — the complete 240V system for maximum power · full off-grid living.

  • Victron MultiPlus-II 3000Va inverter-charger — 2400W continuous
  • Built-in 120A multi-stage battery charger
  • Pure sine wave output — safe for all electronics
  • Automatic changeover between shore and inverter power
  • DC leads, isolator switch and mains wiring kit included
  • Pre-programmed in house — arrives set up for your campervan system

🔌 What Can It Run?

The MultiPlus-II 3000VA delivers 2400W of continuous pure sine 240V power and provides up to 120A battery charging on hook-up. Here is what it can realistically run off-grid:

All Small Appliances

10-400W
Phones, laptops, lights and TV together

✓

Standard Kettle

2000-2400W
High battery draw — use sparingly

✓

Microwave

700-1200W
No problem within the total limit

✓

Hair Dryer

1200-2000W
Suitable for normal use

✓

Toaster

800-1500W
Short use

✓

Air Fryer

800-1800W
Check the appliance label

✓

Single-Ring Induction Hob

1800-2000W
High battery draw — short cooking periods

✓

Two High-Load Appliances

2400W
Combined loads above this exceed the continuous limit

✗

Combined Load Examples

Kettle + small background loads: keep the combined total at or below 2400W

Microwave + television + lights + device charging: typically around 1500W

Wattages are typical values — check each appliance label and combined rating. High-power cooking and heating loads draw substantial current from a 12V battery bank.

⚡ Key Features

01Inverter and Charger, One Box

Inverts up to 2400W off-grid; charges at 120A on hook-up. One unit doing both jobs saves space, wiring, and cost versus separate devices.

02Seamless Changeover

Plug in at a campsite and it charges; unplug and it inverts. The transfer is automatic and in milliseconds — no switches to flip, no interruption to what's running.

03Pure Sine Wave, Safe for Everything

Clean output that's safe for laptops, medical devices, and anything with a plug. No modified-sine damage risk.

04Built-In Neutral Grounding Relay

The shore-to-inverter changeover happens through the Multiplus's internal neutral-grounding relay — a requirement under current regulations for inverter transfer switches. No external relay to buy or wire: changeover is safe and automatic.

❓ FAQ

What can 3000VA run?

It runs almost anything you'd plug in at home, including induction hobs and full-size microwaves on medium. Total draw must stay under 2400W continuous — check appliance labels. Anything with a heating element is the big draw; LEDs and electronics barely register.

How much battery do I need?

Inverting at full power draws roughly 200A from a 12V battery. Lithium banks handle this; small AGM banks sag. Match the inverter to your bank: bigger inverters want bigger batteries.

Is this different from the Inverter Smart kits?

Yes — the MultiPlus range are inverter-chargers (they charge your battery from shore power). The Inverter Smart is inverter-only. Choose MultiPlus if you use campsites; Inverter Smart if you charge purely by solar and split charge.

Can I add solar to this?

Yes — an MPPT controller and panel run alongside the MultiPlus. Look at the Solar + Power Board kits, or the Full Off-Grid complete system if you want the whole package in one go.
