Victron Multiplus 2000Va Kit with DC leads, isolator and mains wiring kit — 1600W of pure sine wave power plus 80A shore charging

Gives your campervan serious 240V power and shore-power charging in one unit. The MultiPlus 2000Va delivers 1600W of continuous pure sine wave — it runs demanding 240V loads including kettles, tools and induction hobs on low. When you plug into hook-up, it switches roles and charges your battery at 80A.

The changeover is seamless. Shore power present: it charges your battery and passes mains through to your sockets. Shore power gone: it inverts from your battery to the same sockets. Automatic, instant, and silent — you never think about which source you're on.

The kit includes the DC battery leads and isolator, plus the mains wiring kit with the IP67 inlet and pre-wired consumer unit. Matched, specified, and ready to install — the complete 240V system for heavy-duty systems · full kitchen.

  • Victron MultiPlus 2000Va inverter-charger — 1600W continuous
  • Built-in 80A multi-stage battery charger
  • Pure sine wave output — safe for all electronics
  • Automatic changeover between shore and inverter power
  • DC leads, isolator switch and mains wiring kit included
  • Pre-programmed in house — arrives set up for your campervan system

🔌 What Can It Run?

The MultiPlus 2000VA delivers 1600W of continuous pure sine 240V power with a confirmed 4000W peak rating, and provides 80A battery charging on hook-up. Here is what it can realistically run off-grid:

Phones, Laptops + TV

70-350W
Comfortable combined load

✓

Travel Kettle

500-800W
No problem

✓

Microwave

700-1000W
Runs comfortably

✓

Air Fryer

800-1500W
Check its nameplate rating

✓

Hair Dryer

1200-1600W
Short use within the continuous limit

✓

Power Tools

300-1600W
4000W peak helps with start-up demand

✓

Induction Hob (Low)

1000-1600W
Only where the actual input stays within 1600W

✓

Standard Kettle

2000-2400W
Above the 1600W continuous limit

✗

Combined Load Examples

Lights + television + devices + microwave: around 1200W — comfortable

Air fryer or low-setting induction cooking: use as the main load and keep the total below 1600W

Wattages are typical values — check each appliance label. Keep the combined continuous load within 1600W. The 4000W figure is a short peak capability, not a continuous appliance allowance.

⚡ Key Features

01Inverter and Charger, One Box

Inverts up to 1600W off-grid; charges at 80A on hook-up. One unit doing both jobs saves space, wiring, and cost versus separate devices.

02Seamless Changeover

Plug in at a campsite and it charges; unplug and it inverts. The transfer is automatic and in milliseconds — no switches to flip, no interruption to what's running.

03Pure Sine Wave, Safe for Everything

Clean output that's safe for laptops, medical devices, and anything with a plug. No modified-sine damage risk.

04Built-In Neutral Grounding Relay

The shore-to-inverter changeover happens through the Multiplus's internal neutral-grounding relay — a requirement under current regulations for inverter transfer switches. No external relay to buy or wire: changeover is safe and automatic.

❓ FAQ

What can 2000VA run?

It runs demanding 240V loads including kettles, tools and induction hobs on low. Total draw must stay under 1600W continuous — check appliance labels. Anything with a heating element is the big draw; LEDs and electronics barely register.

How much battery do I need?

Inverting at full power draws roughly 133A from a 12V battery. Lithium banks handle this; small AGM banks sag. Match the inverter to your bank: bigger inverters want bigger batteries.

Is this different from the Inverter Smart kits?

Yes — the MultiPlus range are inverter-chargers (they charge your battery from shore power). The Inverter Smart is inverter-only. Choose MultiPlus if you use campsites; Inverter Smart if you charge purely by solar and split charge.

Can I add solar to this?

Yes — an MPPT controller and panel run alongside the MultiPlus. Look at the Solar + Power Board kits, or the Full Off-Grid complete system if you want the whole package in one go.
