Gives your campervan serious 240V power and shore-power charging in one unit. The MultiPlus 1200Va delivers 1000W of continuous pure sine wave — it runs a travel kettle, small microwave on medium, and most kitchen gadgets. When you plug into hook-up, it switches roles and charges your battery at 50A.
The changeover is seamless. Shore power present: it charges your battery and passes mains through to your sockets. Shore power gone: it inverts from your battery to the same sockets. Automatic, instant, and silent — you never think about which source you're on.
The kit includes the DC battery leads and isolator, plus the mains wiring kit with the IP67 inlet and pre-wired consumer unit. Matched, specified, and ready to install — the complete 240V system for medium systems · real appliances.
The MultiPlus 1200VA delivers 1000W of continuous pure sine 240V power and provides 50A battery charging on hook-up. Here is what it can realistically run off-grid:
10-90W
Several devices together
60-250W
Comfortable combined load
500-800W
Check the appliance label
600-800W
Use one high-load appliance at a time
800-1000W
Must be rated at 1000W or below
300-900W
Check running and start-up ratings
2000-2400W
Above the 1000W continuous limit
1800-2200W
Above the 1000W continuous limit
Laptop + TV + lights + phone charging: around 300W total — comfortable
Travel kettle on its own: 500-800W — suitable if the nameplate stays below 1000W
Wattages are typical values — check each appliance label. Keep the combined continuous load within 1000W and use only one high-load heating appliance at a time.
Inverts up to 1000W off-grid; charges at 50A on hook-up. One unit doing both jobs saves space, wiring, and cost versus separate devices.
Plug in at a campsite and it charges; unplug and it inverts. The transfer is automatic and in milliseconds — no switches to flip, no interruption to what's running.
Clean output that's safe for laptops, medical devices, and anything with a plug. No modified-sine damage risk.
The shore-to-inverter changeover happens through the Multiplus's internal neutral-grounding relay — a requirement under current regulations for inverter transfer switches. No external relay to buy or wire: changeover is safe and automatic.
Match the bank to the inverter's appetite
Charging whilst driving to feed the inverter
Off-grid charging to top up between drives
It runs a travel kettle, small microwave on medium, and most kitchen gadgets. Total draw must stay under 1000W continuous — check appliance labels. Anything with a heating element is the big draw; LEDs and electronics barely register.
Inverting at full power draws roughly 83A from a 12V battery. Lithium banks handle this; small AGM banks sag. Match the inverter to your bank: bigger inverters want bigger batteries.
Yes — the MultiPlus range are inverter-chargers (they charge your battery from shore power). The Inverter Smart is inverter-only. Choose MultiPlus if you use campsites; Inverter Smart if you charge purely by solar and split charge.
Yes — an MPPT controller and panel run alongside the MultiPlus. Look at the Solar + Power Board kits, or the Full Off-Grid complete system if you want the whole package in one go.
