Delivers seamless 240V AC off-grid power and battery charging in a single three-in-one unit. Combining a 1600VA pure sine wave inverter, a 70A mains charger and an automatic transfer switch eliminates separate units, cutting installation wiring complexity whilst saving valuable interior space.
The transfer switch allows you to use the same sockets in the van whether you're on grid or off-grid. This is the ideal option if you need robust power headroom for small kitchen appliances or tools without upgrading to a larger, heavier system.
This listing is for the bare unit (multiplus only) full kits, leads, isolators are all available separately.
Inverter AND battery charger. Eliminates the need for a separate mains charger. Charges at 70A when connected to shore power.
If shore power is limited (e.g., 6A hookup), the MultiPlus supplements with battery power to handle high loads like kettles. No more tripped breakers.
Millisecond switchover between shore power and inverter means your appliances stay running. No interruption when arriving or departing.
VE.Bus port connects to Cerbo GX for full system monitoring via VRM portal. Coordinate with solar and alternator charging for optimal battery management.
The MultiPlus 1600Va delivers approximately 1300W continuous (1600Va, 2800W peak). Also charges your battery at 70A when on shore power. Here's what it can run:
10-90W
All devices simultaneously
10-100W
50-200W
2000-2400W
Runs but at the top end — short bursts only
700-1000W
Runs comfortably
1200-1300W
Short use OK, near the limit
500-800W
No problem
1800-2200W
Too much for continuous use
Lights + TV + devices + microwave: ~1000W — comfortable
Kettle + phone charging: ~2050W — brief bursts only
Hair dryer + lights: ~1350W — short use, near capacity
Va differs from watts due to power factor. Battery capacity is the real constraint for high-power loads — check your battery bank can supply the peak current needed.
