Keeps your leisure battery topped up automatically whilst you drive, so you arrive at camp with a charged battery and peace of mind. The Victron Cyrix voltage-sensing relay monitors your alternator voltage and connects the two batteries when the engine is running, then isolates them when you park — protecting your starter battery from being drained.
This is the simplest, most affordable way to add split charging to a campervan with a standard alternator. No Bluetooth, no apps, no programming — the relay works entirely automatically. If your van is pre-2015 (and has a traditional alternator), and you're running AGM or gel leisure batteries, this kit does the job reliably and affordably.
Every cable is pre-cut to the length for your van model and battery location, with ring terminals professionally crimped and inline fuses already fitted. You're not trimming cable in a car park or hunting for the right fuse — it arrives ready to bolt in.
Microprocessor-controlled 120A battery combiner that automatically connects and isolates your batteries based on voltage — not a basic voltage switch.
16mm² tri-rated copper cable, pre-cut to the length for your van model and battery location. Ring terminals professionally crimped, inline 100A fuses fitted at both ends.
The relay only connects the batteries when the alternator is producing charge (above 13.8V). When you park, it disconnects at 12.8V — so your starter battery never gets drained by your leisure loads.
Select your van model and where your battery lives (under seat, wheel arch, rear floor) and you'll get the exact cable lengths you need. No measuring, no trimming, no waste.
The Victron Cyrix uses voltage trend monitoring to prevent chattering on and off at borderline voltages. Cheaper relays just flip at a set voltage — the Cyrix watches the trend before committing.
Optional 6-way or 12-way fuse box available. If you're building a full 12V system, the fuse box distributes power to your lights, sockets, fridge, and other loads from one tidy location.

If your van has a standard alternator (most vehicles before 2015, or commercial vehicles without stop-start technology), the VSR kit will work. If your van has a smart alternator (Euro 6 engines from 2015 onwards, usually with stop-start), you need a DC-DC charger instead — the VSR cannot charge from a smart alternator.
No. The VSR operates on voltage thresholds that don't suit lithium battery charging profiles. For lithium batteries, use one of the Victron Orion DC-DC charger kits instead — they have proper lithium charge algorithms.
Select the location where your leisure battery will be installed — under the driver or passenger seat, near a wheel arch, or under the bed at the rear. The cable length is calculated for a clean, direct route from the starter battery to that location. If you're unsure, measure the approximate cable run and choose the closest option.
If you're just adding split charging to an existing setup with a fuse box already in place, select 'No Fuse Box'. If you're starting from scratch or want a tidy distribution point for your 12V loads, add the 6-way (SC7) or 12-way (SC6) fuse box.
