Charges your leisure battery twice as fast as the 10A kit when you're on hook-up. The Victron Blue Smart IP22 20A charger brings medium and large battery banks back to full quicker — important if you're only at a campsite for one night, or you're running a bigger bank than 10A can comfortably recover.

The IP22 supports lithium charge profiles alongside AGM and gel — so if your system has a lithium battery or you're planning to upgrade, this kit charges it properly. As with all Blue Smart chargers, Bluetooth monitoring shows you exactly what's happening, live.

20A recovers roughly 200Ah overnight — a 200Ah bank at 50% goes back to full in one campsite stay. With the 10A kit, you'd need two nights or arrive still undercharged.

❓ FAQ

Why IP22 instead of IP65?

The 20A and 30A chargers are IP22-rated (drip-proof) — they need mounting in a protected location like under a seat or in a cupboard. The 10A IP65 can go anywhere. Plan your mounting spot before ordering.

Is 20A right for my battery?

For AGM banks of 100-200Ah or lithium banks up to ~200Ah, 20A recovers the bank overnight. For larger banks, the 30A version charges faster still.

Can I mount it anywhere?

Being IP22, it needs to be somewhere it won't get splashed or dripped on — under a seat or in a locker is typical. The consumer unit and inlet are separate, so you have flexibility in layout.

Does the charger work off-grid?

No — mains chargers need 240V hook-up. For off-grid charging you need solar or a split charge kit. Many vans run both: mains for campsites, solar for off-grid.
