Every van is different. A custom wiring kit means we take your layout, your appliances, your requirements — and engineer the system around them.
Our custom kits cover the full range of 12V and 240V electrical systems for campervans, vans, and overland vehicles — from a straightforward 12V leisure system to a full Victron-based installation with solar, lithium battery management, mains hookup, and an inverter/charger.
What makes it custom is simple: you tell us exactly what's going in your van and where. We review your layout, ask questions where needed, and build the complete system from individually specified, pre-terminated cables and components — the same parts we use in our pre-wired power boards, configured to your exact requirements.
Every system is reviewed and signed off by our team before it ships. If we spot a problem with your spec, we'll call you before anything is built.
Custom kits are for self-builders who want a system specified to their exact layout — not adapted from a standard kit. You might be fitting a specific inverter, routing cables to precise locations, or combining components that don't come in any bundle. That's exactly what this service is for.
If you're not sure what you need yet, the Electrical System Builder is the right starting point. It asks the right questions, produces a complete system recommendation, and lets you book a call with us directly — which becomes the basis for your custom quote.
There's no single right way to order. Pick whichever suits how you work.
Answer questions about your van, your appliances, and how you plan to use it. The System Builder produces a complete system specification and lets you book a call with us directly. Takes about 10 minutes.
Open System BuilderIf you'd rather talk it through, book a call. James will work through your requirements directly and build your specification from that conversation. No forms. No waiting.
Book a ConsultationIf you've already planned your build, email us your layout — a sketch, a plan view, or a list of components and locations. Our team reviews every layout and gets in touch to confirm your specification before anything is built.
Email Your Layout info@rayneautomotive.co.ukWhichever route you take, every custom order goes through the same process.
Via the System Builder, a consultation call, or your emailed layout — we take whatever you send us.
We check your specification against the components, identify anything that needs clarifying, and confirm the final design with you before anything is picked or shipped.
Once confirmed, we build your system from individually specified components. Lead time from confirmed specification: typically 5–7 working days.
If you have questions during installation, call us. We support every system we build.
This isn't a click-and-buy process. It's a considered purchase and we treat it like one.
These are representative examples — every custom order is specified individually to your van and your requirements. Use these as a starting point for your thinking.
Every component in a Rayne custom kit is something we stock, specify, and support. We don't bundle in parts we haven't tested. The same components go into our own pre-wired power boards — which are bench-tested before they leave us.
