This is an inverter, not an inverter-charger — the simplest way to get clean 240V off-grid if you're charging by split charge and solar. The VE.Direct port means you can add Bluetooth monitoring later, and ECO mode cuts standby draw when nothing's plugged in.
The kit includes DC leads and an isolator switch specified for the 800Va's draw. Connect to your battery, flip the isolator, plug in — 240V power wherever you need it.

What will 650W run?
Lights, laptop and phone chargers, a small TV, a DAB radio, a small fan. Heating elements (kettles, hairdryers, small heaters) are out of range — they draw 800W+ each.
How is this different from the MultiPlus 800Va?
The MultiPlus is an inverter-charger — it also charges your battery from shore power and has automatic changeover. The Inverter Smart is inverter-only: simpler, cheaper, right if you don't use hook-ups or you already have a mains charger.
Do I need the Bluetooth dongle?
Not to use the inverter — it works out of the box. The dongle adds consumption monitoring from your phone, which is useful for understanding what your loads actually draw. Add it now or later.
What battery does it need?
Any healthy 12V leisure battery. At full 650W output it draws roughly 54A — within range of a 100Ah+ AGM or any lithium bank. Small or tired batteries will cause low-voltage shutdowns.
