Use the sun to charge your leisure battery with a proper multi-panel array — and your battery bay becomes a pre-wired charging system. This kit bundles multiple Victron rigid panels with the Isolated Solar PV Power Board — the higher-capacity board variants handle the combined current of a multi-panel array, with the MPPT controller pre-installed (excluding fixings and adhesives/sealants).
The board changes what a solar installation means. Instead of mounting a controller, fuses, busbars, and terminals separately, the board arrives pre-wired and tested with everything on it. You mount the panels, run the array cabling, connect the battery, and the system works.
Choose your panel count and the board variant with capacity to match. The board variant is matched to your array — 100/30, 100/50, or 150/45 — sized with cold-weather voltage margin so winter VOC spikes don't damage the controller.
Real UK seasonal estimates from our power calculator's solar model — 2.39 effective sun-hours/day in summer, 0.74 in winter. Yields shown per full day. Ranges cover 130W and 190W panel options. Summer — 621-908Wh/day (approx. 49-71Ah) Winter — 192-281Wh/day (approx. 15-22Ah) Summer — 932-1362Wh/day (approx. 73-107Ah) Winter — 289-422Wh/day (approx. 23-33Ah) Summer — 1243-1816Wh/day (approx. 97-142Ah) Winter — 385-562Wh/day (approx. 30-44Ah)
A 4×190W array produces up to 58A in ideal conditions. The 45A/50A board variants handle it — including Victron's built-in surge tolerance and cold-weather voltage margin. An undersized controller permanently clips your harvest.
The controller, fusing, and distribution are on the board, wired and tested. Your installation is panels, cable, and battery connections — not building an electrical system from loose parts.
The board accepts a split charge input and additional 12V circuits. Start with solar, add alternator charging later, all through the same board.
Bluetooth in the board's controller shows total array output live. Spot an underperforming panel — shade, dirt, a failed connection — in the numbers, not by climbing on the roof.
Big arrays deserve a big bank
Add alternator charging through the board
Connect the board to living-area loads
Connect the board straight to your leisure battery if you're not using a 12V distribution board
For a fridge plus normal 12V loads, 2×190W covers summer well. Full-time off-grid with an inverter — go 3 or 4. The Camper Power Planner calculates your actual daily consumption if you're unsure.
The 45A (150V) variant covers 4×190W arrays including cold-weather voltage spikes. It's the board we specify for maximum-panel installs.
You can do that — but the board integrates the controller with fusing, busbars, and distribution as one tested unit. It's a tidier, faster installation with one warranty point of contact.
Yes — the board has terminals for a DC-DC charger input. Add an Orion kit and the board handles solar and alternator charging together.
